please help the cheapest i have found was on cheaptickets.com any other suggestions?
http://www.farecompare.com/maps/compareDestinations.html?departure=ANC — I set it to Anchorage for you, but you can easily change the departure city on that page. It shows ALL of the cheapest published fares from the city you choose. When you click the one you want, then enter dates, it then also checks unpublished (ie, "consolidator" fares, like Cheaptickets and others that negotiate special fares with airlines) to show you what’s cheapest for your specific travel dates. It’s a very cool tool, in my opinion, and I hope it fits what you’re looking for and helps you find the cheapest fares.

I am from Alaska and fly to the lower 48, out of Anchorage, every few months. The best flights/deals I have found are on a website called kayak.com. It searches over 100 different sites for the best fares. The sites include all major airline’s home sites as well as expedia, orbitz, cheaptickets, priceline, etc. When you find a fare that you like, all you have to do is click on it, and the site automatically redirects you to where it found that price. It is very user friendly and also gives you a "daily buzz" (fare watcher) for flights between the specific airports that you choose…and you can pick more than one. The site also gives you a graphical display of the fares over the last month, so you can see the trend in airfares for your particular flights/trip. I have found this site very useful. The only little thing about the site, like most others, is that it requires you to create a free account at the beginning. It is well worth it, though. Good luck.

Unless you are flying out of Anchorage or Fairbanks your only option is going to be Alaska Airlines and their cheapest prices are always on their web site at http://www.alaskaair.com. None of their flights from Alaska participate in deals like priceline. Those sites will cost you more and make it more expensive if you have to change a booking.
