How much would a vacation of one week would cost in Koh Samui including air flight tickets and hotel. i am form USA.
It really depends (at least for airfare) on where you’re flying out of. Check the link below to Thai Airway’s website for checking on fares from your nearest port of debarkation. For hotel accommodations, I recommend checking the website search at expedia, which is the second link I’ve included.
Good luck in Samui!

a roundtrip flight to thailand from the usa is between 1,000 to 1,500, flight to samui roundtrip is $215 only bangkok air flys directly into samui otherwise take a 12 bus ride and then a ferry or they do have budget airlines to surat thani and then bus to the dock and ferry to sumai. Hotel about $30 to $75 a night depending on your taste. and then spending money. you do the math.

Depends on where you are flying out of the United States. From Los Angelas, from $700 to 1500 round trip. When you get to Bangkok. http://www.bangkokair.com/spfare/index.php?id=USM Bangkok Air seems to have a monopoly on Ko Samui.
Airline tickets to Bangkok then Koh Samui and hotel from Los Angelas can be done from $1100 on up.http://www.atsiam.com/thailand_hotels_more.asp?st=81&pt=Koh+samui&pg=&pl=type

Many things to say. First of all go! You have to. You will meet so many amazing people that will inspire you to travel more. 2nd, you’ll have to plan for longer than a week. The reason I say that is its 22 hours to get there (BKK) then fly out of BKK to Samui. Thats a lot of vacation time in the sky. Even if you plan for 10 days. Thats reasonable. You can have a full week of relaxation. 3rd. Don’t stay at any place that has been "westernized" Air conditioning, tv. That very much keeps you away from Thailand, know what I meen? When I was there I stayed in a hut for 3-5$ a night that was 20 feet from the sea. When I took a shower it was outside in a stall with no ceiling. There was a coconut tree above me and the sun. When I bruched my teeth and I looked in the mirror there was the sea staring back at me and sand under my feet. The restaurant was central location for meeting people. You can spend the whold day in one and have fun people to talk to at every moment if you choose to. So…go
farechase.yahoo.com is where you should go for tickets. They search a gazillion travel sights for you. Give you the best rates. Winter is when to go so it will be more. I just checked for you, march 5-14 out of denver is 858$. another 200 round trip for getting there (if you stay longer its worth taking the bus, just for the torture, And some advice on that note; people are stupid and will listen to most things as true, the bottom of the bus has places to lounge, stretch out, if you find the right group, 4-5 of you, all you have to do is tell people that try to sit there that its reserved for you. People thought we were some famous band as I recall)
Anyway, 1100$ for plane tiks Your hut, 35$ food .50-10.00per meal. Street vendors .50 cents, excellent meal, 10 bones. taxis 10.00. You’re good as gold with 1300$
DO NOT get shots if you’re going for a week, no need. NO malaria pills either. Expensive and make you really coo-coo. You won’t need them unless traveling in serious jungle.
You can take a back pack with 2 sarongs, a swim suit and undies. You can buy whatever you need there for a 1/4 of the price
Have a blast and im sure from traveling there it will start a career of traveling round the world!!!
